Cantina di Vicobarone is an historic winery (it was born in 1960) located in Vicobarone of Ziano Piacentino, Tidone valley.
Today it has more or less 250 grapes producers as partners: they give to Cantina Vicobarone their best selection of grapes, all coming from the DOC Colli Piacentini and Oltrepo Pavese area.
The Apennine area of the territory of Piacenza is well known for its agricultural production, which is mainly situated on the hilly area. The grape is one of the most important productions.
The characteristics of this area have helped developing several kinds of grape production and this has also helped a steady evolution of the product. This is the reason why they have also many kinds of autochthonal wines.
Cantina di Vicobarone produces high quality products not only thanks to the traditional way of vinification of the best grapes, but also because of the use of modern machinery and the careful control of the production, which is made by expert winemakers.
Vicobarone wants to improve the quality of its products but it wants also respect the typicality and the tradition of the territory…this is the “secret” of their wines.
