Consortium Piacenza Alimentare sponsored and organised the participation of 13 member companies at SIAL (Paris, 19/23 October). The exhibiting companies are: La Pizza + 1, Salumificio La Rocca, Salumificio Pianellese, Salumificio San Michele, Salumificio San Carlo, C.I.O. (A.R.P., Cons. Casalasco, Boschi Food & Beverage), Giarola Savem, ACP International Food, Polenghi LAS, Riverfrut.

SIAL is the world's leading food industry show which takes place every two years in Paris. In 2008, the modern location welcomed over 5,200 exhibitors, 78% of them international from 104 countries, and over 140.000 visitors, 55% international.

The Italian collective (760 exhibitors) was the most representatives of all internation pavillions and this is not by chance. After Germany, France is the most important export market in Europe for Italian food and wines.

Consortium Piacenza and its member companies joined the Italian collective in three different halls, depending on products classification (cured meat, dairy products and preserves). The Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Luca Zaia, also visited the exhibition and our stands.

The promotional activities is continuing in the next few weeks: some associate companies are attending a series of workshops and wine-tastings in the US, Canada, London and Bucharest.
