Salumificio Pianellese, founded in 1967, is located in the hills and covers around 5000 m² with three separate units in which different meat curing processes take place.
Production
Specialized in the production of pancetta, coppa and cooked ham, since the beginning it has grown constantly both in size and in strategy, by continuous technological investments, but without losing the traditional nature of the process. Currently it employs 45 people, processing up to 50,000 kg of fresh pancetta, 20,000 kg of coppa and 10,000 kg of ham and shoulder per week.
All the places in which the meat-processing takes place are structured according to the regulations in force and during the production process health and hygiene checks are carried out on the basis of the HACCP plan of 15/5/97.
Thanks to its flexibility, the Salumificio Pianellese has created a distribution network that practically covers the whole country, selling both to wholesalers and retailers. It succeeds in satisfying the clientele by personalizing the products according to specific requests and for this reason, as well as of course for the quality of its products, it numbers among its customers the best mass distribution chains.
While at the moment the Salumificio Pianellese S.r.l. only exports a few of its own products to the EU market, they are sure that in the future this market will account for an important part of their production.
