Formec Biffi supplies 98% of the Italian retailers with private label and brand label sauces, as well as many European retailers, shipping the products till Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, USA and Canada.
In 1966 Pietro Casella, a chemist and biologist with extensive experience in a multinational food company, established Formec and based its success on research, innovation and creativity with only one goal: to strive for maximum quality at every stage of production, from checking raw materials to the finished product.
With the acquisition of the Biffi brand 20 years ago, the Company has taken up the “legacy“ left by Paolo Biffi, a creator of taste since 1852.
Production
Formec Biffi is specialised in pasta sauces and mayonnaise spreads, and produces over 1600 items of which 70% is for retail and 30% for Food Service. Formec Biffi supplies a range of both chilled and shelf stable products both under its own brands and under private label.
In the last few years apart from the conventional range we have developed organic lines as well as 100% vegetable sauces according to the new market trends.
