Consortium Piacenza Alimentare organized the participation of a group of Piacenza companies from the organic sector to the 20th edition of SANA (Bologna, 11-14 September 2008), the most important appointment in Italy for the eco-friendly sector.
The associate companies who took part in the events are: Terre di Sangiorgio (tomato preserves and sauces), G.T.C. (organic bio and panela) and Dolceterra (represented by the Vice President, Mr. Carlo Annoni and supported by the Province of Piacenza), which presented products of Consortium BioPiace and of a group of small companies: Miranti (cured meat products) Gardella and Le Sermase (cereals, vegetables, honey, beef), Orsa Maggiore (organic cheese from goat and sheep milk from), four wineries (I Ronchi – Villò, La Colombarola – Nibbiano, Casa Nova – Pianello and La Travata – Carmiano). All tastings were organised by Mr. Umberto Cantù, sommelier from the Italian Sommelier Association (A.I.S.).
"The event results were satisfactory – said Mr. Giuseppe Chiesa, Director of Consortium Piacenza Alimentare- and many operators visited our stands and tasted our products. In particular, many visitors were attracted by Dolceterra products and proposal. We provided a complete and stimulating picture of Piacenza local organic production".
Many foreign business operators from Great Britain, Denmark, Germany, Japan, Canada and USA visited the exhibition invited by Bologna Fiere in collaboration with the Italian Trade Commission (ICE).
