CIBUS 2010, the most important Italian food show, closed its door last Thursday reporting an increase in the number of professional visitors (about 60.000 visitors from over the world) and reporting general satisfaction.
Consortium Piacenza Alimentare was present with an area of about 200 sq.m. which hosted several member companies, the Consortium for the Protection of CDO Wines Colli Piacentini (Piacenza hills) and the Consortium for the Protection of PDO cured meat products. The participation was partially sponsored by theChamber of Commerce of Piacenza and by the Region Emilia-Romagna.
The first comments collected from our exhibitors seem to confirm the success of this important international event:
• Sabrina Dallagiovanna (Molino Dallagiovanna): "Our products met the interests of seevral buyers and the presence at our stand of Mr. Raimondo Mendolia, President of the European Chefs Academy, renowned chef and professional pasta maker, who invented new recipes every day using our new flour triple 0."
• Ilaria Scozzi (Rebecchi F.lli Valtrebbia): "The exhibition was held in working days and this probably decreased the number of non-professional visitors in favour of qualified professionals and buyers. So far we are very satisfied."
• Alberto Gobrili (3G Salsanatura): "The first three days were very intense and several foreign business operators (from Greece, France and Great Britain) were interested in our sauces. CIBUS was an important occasion to launch our new product range for the retail market. We have a lot of material to work on when we go back to office. It was definitely worth participating."
• Martin Alvarez (Riverfrut): "This Cibus edition was a great success. We met several qualified Italiand and foreign operators. The exhibition is always an occasion to meet the buyers of the retail chains with which we already work, but this year we saw a lot of new faces and there seems to be interesting perspectives for our industrial products."
