The 30th edition of ANUGA ended a few days ago. Anuga is one of the biggest world events for the Food & Drinks sector and Consortium Piacenza Alimentare was present with fourteen member companies, which exhibited in the Italian Pavillion organised by the Italian Trade Commission (ICE).
This year, Anuga was attended by over 6,500 exhibitors from 98 foreign countries and by about 160.000 trade visitors from 175. Among the several national pavillions, the Italian collective was the largest (4700 sq.m.) and the most representative one. The comprehensive overview of Italian food production ranged from industrial products to regional specialties and included some of Piacenza top products: PDO cured meat products, tomato preserves, coffee, spirits, cake decorations, pizza and focaccias.
Anuga's unique concept is to bring together 10 specialised trade fairs under one roof in order to cover the entire globally available range of food and beverage products and to meet the needs of exhibitors and visitors alike. Therefore, Consortium Piacenza Alimentare distributed its companies exhibited in different Halls, depending on their product type: Berni Alimentare, Co.Pad.Or., A.R.P., C.I.O., Rebecchi, Columbus, Polenghi Group, Italfood Ost were in Halle 11.2 and 10.2 (Anuga Fine Food); La Messicana was in Halle 2.2 (Anuga Bread & Bakery, Hote Beverages); Salumificio San Carlo, Salumificio Pianellese and Salumificio La Rocca were in Halle 5.2 (Anuga Meat); Giarola Savem was in Halle 8.1 (Anuga Drinks); La Pizza + 1 was in Halle 10.1 (Anuga Dairy).
Once again, ANUGA proved to be a not-to-be-missed appointment for all food business operators and producers who look for new business partner from around the world and want to have an overview of new trends and ideas for the food sectors.
