The congress "Piacenza and its Coppa" is scheduled to take place on Monday, 8th October 2007, in the beautiful reception room of Palazzo Gotico in Piacenza.
The event is organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Piacenza to promote and to make the most of Piacenza premium-quality food products.
On this occasion, particular prominence will be give to one of the most appreciated local products: Coppa Piacentina, the pork cured meat product that has been decorated by the PDO since 1997.
The meeting will consist of three different moments: a congress, with the participation of important expert of the food sector and the Italian Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Paolo De Castro; a reward ceremony, during which Master Riccardo Muti, Prof. Giorgio Calabrese and the Minister De Castro will be awarded the "Coppa d'oro" [Golden Coppa] award.
